Lightroom

Some of the main things that were changed from the unedited photo were mainly the highlights, whites, blacks, and shadows. This allowed the photo to pop a bit more and make it easier to look at.

I also ended up making the image have a cooling temperature effect added to make it become more bright blue and show the sky around the bird better by making it less pale.

There was some vibrance added to the image to give it a white “barrier” around the image. This adds ease when looking at the image and shows you where to look.

Is Photography Art?

It is widely debated on what is and what is not art. Photography is one of them, and it seems a majority are stuck between the answer of yes and no. Photography implements a lot of thought into some photos, but some don’t require some a thought process and just need the right settings. Same thing with normal art whether it be water color, drawing, or object art. Some images may require some thought, but others may not.

 

Shifting into personal thoughts, I believe that photography is an aspect of art. It requires the understanding of  composition, exposure, three grid rule, ect. But it little to no effort to set up a scene unless it requires specifically placed props. You are not making the scene by hand or through a digital software in photography. Even with the whole editing process, I can only see photography as a skill.
